• Sabarmati Ashram:

    Sabarmati Ashram:

    This is the major center of attraction of the city and it is located in the Sabarmati suburb of the city. This was the residence of Mahatma Gandhi and his wife for 12 years and hence tourists from all around the globe make sure to pay a visit at this place. This was the very place that witnessed the start of the dandi march also known as salt satyagraha in the year 1930.

  • Kankaria:


    It is the biggest lake in the city of Ahmedabad and is situated in the area of Maninagar. Kankaria was built by Sultan Qutbuddin in the 15th century and was used at that time for bathing by the kings of that time. In the year 2008, the lake was renovated and thus its beauty was enhanced further.

  • Sardar Patel Stadium:

    Sardar Patel Stadium:

    It is one of the most premier cricket stadiums of India and it is located in Motera area and it is often known as Motera stadium by the local people. Earlier it was known as Gujarat stadium but afterwards the name was changed to the present name. It has sitting capacity of 54000 spectators and excellent arrangement of lights for night matches.

  • Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel memorial:

    Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel memorial:

    This is a famous museum dedicated to Sardar Vallabbhbhai patel in moti shahi mahal in the shahibaug area of the city. Moti Shahi mahal was built by Shah Jahan in the year 1622 in order to provide employments to poor people at that time. The shahibaug garden which is in the same palace, used to be one of the most beautiful gardens of that time.

  • Ellis Bridge:

    Ellis Bridge:

    It is bridge located in the city which connects eastern and western part of the city across the Sabarmati River. In was built in the year 1892 by an Indian engineer named Himmatlal bhachech and it was constructed at a much lower cost. For this thing he was honored by the title of Rao Sahib. The bridge was named after Sir Barrow Elbert Ellis.

  • Vastrapur Lake:

    Vastrapur Lake:

    This Lake is in the western part of Ahmedabad and it was officially named after Narsinh Mehta. The lake underwent renovation and was beautified in the year 2002 and since then it has become a tourist spot. The lake is surrounded by pretty gardens which further enhance its beauty. During every weekend you would see hundreds of people visiting this lake.
