This temple is also known as Tapkeshwar Mahadev Templ is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the destroyer. It is just 6 km away from the town along the forest area and it is the most popular pilgrimage in the town. The main Shivalinga is inside a natural cave and the most interesting thing is there is a continuous downpour of water on Shivalinga through the ceiling of the cave.
Santala Devi Temple:
This is another destination 15km away from the city of Dehradun. It is a 2 km trek journey to the temple from the plains and is located in the mid of dense forests. It is said that Santala devi along with her brother realized that they would not be able to face Mughal army and started to pray to god and within few moments they were transformed into the stones.
Rajaji national park:
It is a reserved national park located within the 3 districts namely Haridwar, Dehradun and pauri Garhwal and it is spread over an area of 820km.in the year 1983 3 wildlife sanctuaries were merged into one and thus Rajaji national park came into the from what it is today. This park is named after C. Rajgopalachari who was a prominent leader in freedom struggle
Tiger falls is a magnificent location to visit and it is situated near Chakrata which is a cantonment town. This place is still not very prevalent with tourists so it is a kind of place which provides a piece of mind. This waterfall is the highest waterfall in the entire state and if you go trekking upto it as there is a walkway of 2 km to reach the destination, then it is even more adventurous.
This temple is 12 km distant from the city of Dehradun and it is one of the most respected temples of the region. It is the cremation site of holy saint swami Laxman Siddh and it is believed to be the same place where Lord Laxman went under sorrow after killing the demon Ravana. on every Sunday huge number of devotees comes to worship the popular saint
